Review on Dorman H38014 Hydraulic Brake Hose by Arun Siddiqui

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Had to change end connection

Hose looks well made. Unfortunately, fitting the first hose I agonized over an hour trying to fit the clamp until I noticed that there was a "protrusion" (for lack of a better term) in the middle of one of the parallel flat surfaces of the hose. didn't fit the seat. I had to file the "bump" down until the surface was smooth. This allowed the clamp to slide properly. The fight turned out to be more difficult due to the severely restricted installation space for this inner tube. So I filed the "bump" on the second hose before removing the original hose from the other side of the car. The hose change was as smooth as you would expect with the right hose end.

Pros
  • Brake hoses with banjo end connections include new copper washers to ensure proper sealing
Cons
  • I'll write back
