Review on Strathmore 566-5 500 Series Hardbound Mixed Media Art Journal, 5.5 x 8.5 Inches, White, 32 Pages by Denise Davis

I really liked this sketchbook. It is perfect for watercolouring, as the 100% cotton absorbs water very well, yet has a supple texture and is still good value. However, the last sketchbook I ordered was altered. While it's still 100% cotton, it now rolls up so easily. It hasn't happened before and I have my old sketchbook to prove it. I used the exact same technique on an old sketchbook but with no pilling. If you change your product, please let me know. I've spent hours on it and now it's useless to me. It took me 3 different paintings to test this and now I've wasted time with a sketchbook I can't use for watercolors. I am incredibly shocked and disappointed. I wish I had just found out that it was changed so I could test it to see if it still works after spending so much time and it rolls down and doesn't work to my standards what I do had expected. This is totally unacceptable. Please don't buy here because the consistency will decrease and you won't know what you're getting.
