Review on 🔌 Transcend USB 3.0 4-Port Hub TS-HUB3K, Black: Enhanced Data Transfer and Convenient Multi-Device Connectivity by Brian Faxon

Everything is fine, but unfortunately it doesn't work without a DC power pack. I want someone to mention this. I've tried several USB drives and most don't show up at all unless you plug in an external power supply. One of my three USB sticks was recognized. The one that worked only ran at USB 1.0 speeds and said to connect a USB 2.0 hub to get the best speed (that's funny news for a USB 3.0 hub). After plugging in the power adapter, it worked as advertised. other USB hubs that are great for most tasks by being powered directly from the computer's USB ports. Dlink's USB 2.0 hub works great this way, and Plugable's new USB 3.0 hub can do the same. In this case, the hub itself will be detected. but then it can't power other USB devices without connecting an external power cord. So it's fine as long as you don't forget to take the AC adapter cord with you.
