Tried it out on a typical commuter ride in a hybrid - mostly paved but with a few uneven patches of pavement, and a short one Construction site. I have an iPhone 8 plus and it was quite difficult to pull the straps to secure the phone. I don't know if it gets easier with use - if so I'd be concerned about safety, if not, well, I didn't want to wrestle with my phone before every ride. Also, it only fits in one phone, I have a relatively thin case and I just couldn't get the straps around it. To the seller's credit, the ad doesn't say you can store your phone and case in it, but I didn't want to change the case every time I wanted to drive. After I installed the phone, it was very reliable while driving and didn't slip. , obviously no fallout. The twist lock also comes in handy when I want to temporarily remove the phone from the mount to use it. The tape does not block the buttons or the camera. I ended up returning because it was difficult to use (recognize it's very reliable) and kept looking for a bike mount that carries the phone in your pocket.
