With normal use I think the SSD will get a bit warm so I think this heatsink is a must just to keep it a little cooler. Once installed, the heatsink will be warm, but that's to be expected since it's doing its job. I wish they had an option with a fan. Installation is very easy, just remember to remove the protective plastic from BOTH sides of the pads. comes with everything you need and well packaged. Instructions are included but not technically required :) as installation is not difficult. I recommend
