My sister's kids (ages 10-15) have an older model Swagtron that moves slower and does not have independent foot petals. My kids has a blast riding their older model Swagtron at their house on carpet (my kids are 6 and 9). We opened these newer model Swagtons and they are WAY too powerful for young kids. My 9 year old figured out how to work it within a few minutes, my 6 year old couldn't get it to move correctly because this thing FLYS with the most minuscule of movement forward or backward. One step on and be prepared for it to take off. I can not reiterate how powerful these are and how seriously hurt young kids could become. We returned both.
