They will fit a 2001 Tacoma 4 cylinder.
I have them on a Tacoma 2.4 4-cyl. There are two thick O-rings running on either side of the injector, a small one on top and a large one on the plastic cup. These cups are extremely hard to come by and usually need to be broken, so it's recommended to leave them alone. I didn't need any of the top thick O-rings either. The factory service manual says something about Tacoma using it to meet California requirements. I do not know what you are talking about.
