They will fit a 2001 Tacoma 4 cylinder.

I have them on a Tacoma 2.4 4 cyl. 2001, which means that they are installed in every 4-cyl. Tacoma 1995-2004 There are two thick o-rings running on either side of the injector, a small one on top and a large one on the plastic cup. These cups are extremely hard to come by and usually need to be broken, so it's recommended to leave them alone. I didn't need any of the top thick O-rings either. The factory service manual says something about Tacoma using it to meet California requirements. I do…

Pros

The o-rings in this kit have proven to be a good choice, but I have found that the kit comes with a thinner, larger ring that does not fit every fuel injector (at least it doesn't not for my car). Which was good, I just decided to get them anyway and not use an extra one, and the small, thicker ones that house the injectors have off-center holes and small bits of plastic that need to be cut off. No pre-installation instructions

Both ends of the o-rings must be pre-lubricated with oil (per repair manual) or the o-ring may be damaged before installing the injectors into the fuel rail. I Damage to 2 small O-rings. Used on Tacoma 2003, 2.4L engine, base cab.

Pros
  • Same form, fit and function as the original kit
Cons
  • Upgrade available
