Review on VIVOHOME Polycarbonate Window Awning Bracket by Eric Weber

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Requires modification

Very thin when assembled. Only 4 small screws hold it together and the pieces kept falling off before I could put them back together. So I glued all the parts with silicone, including the polycarbonate panel, and then screwed in 4 small screws. Now they don't break up. Manufacturer. says to install only on a flat outdoor surface. Well my tent went on vinyl siding. So now you know me, I improvised again! I purchased an 8 foot 5 3/4" ABS window molding. Cut 2) vertical 13" pieces and secure them over the vinyl siding with 3" wood screws for a smooth finish! I did then used 3" stainless steel screws to attach the brackets. Siliconize all edges to avoid any water. Not only does he look like a million bucks now, but neither the wind nor the rain nor the snow will blow him away. The brown plate (40 x 40) with black brackets is very nice. I tried to post a photo but didn't because it defeated all my verbal urges. The picture shows how to install this product. Her instructions were very simple, they even said something about point #7, the pictures only showed #6 oh my god. Definitely a job for two!
