This bread knife looks nice and elegant and can be decent enough to cut soft bread and tomatoes. However, it is useless as a real bread knife. It arrived sharp but the design does not cut through real bread crust making trying to cut such crusty bread with this knife extremely dangerous as it will just slip off without leaving a mark on the crust. Considering the cheap price, I wasn't expecting the same performance as a quality bread knife, but I have a cheap tomato knife that cuts my crusty bread better. So I don't recommend this product if you like artisanal or German bread, which usually has a nice, hard crust.
