Review on 🎨 Liquid Leather Color Touch Up Kit (Packaging Variation) by Kelsey Brown

I was so excited to try the product to try and fix a few imperfections on a black and white faux leather handbag. The kit includes: vinyl glue, 6 fill colors, sponge, brush, spatula, backing cloth and then grain removal paper and a piece of gray vinyl. I liked the inclusion of grain removal paper, I figured I could match my wallet's graininess. Unfortunately, there was no guidance on how and when to use them in the process. I have no idea why gray vinyl was included. I went ahead and followed the instructions that were included. If your repair requires glue, like in my case, it dries too much. While the rest of your item is flexible, the repaired area is rigid. The colors alone seemed better when the repairs were minor. I've been able to use white paper with moderate success, although I had to guess when to use grain-removing paper. I figured if the paint was too dry it wouldn't work at all so I tried using it when the paint felt dry but not completely. It didn't work at all and in some places ruined the paint of the repair so I had to touch up. Not what I was hoping for, but it looked a little better. However, when it came time to use black, it was a disaster. The black felt greasier and was not easy to remove with the brush. After waiting 24 hours I understood why. The black hadn't dried at all, just a sticky, oily black layer where the repair was made. I waited another 24 hours and it was just as wet as the day before while the white dried fairly quickly. I didn't apply more than white. Completely frustrated, I tried to coat it with clear coat even though it wasn't dry yet. It helped a little, but the repair area looks awful. Maybe I just got a bad batch of black, but I just can't recommend this product. Save time and money.
