Review on TRENDnet TU3-ETG: USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - High Speeds, Full Duplex 2Gbps, Windows & Mac Compatible by David Turner

Some previous reviewers from 2018 noted that this device does not work with Mac. These issues no longer exist in the latest version of macOS at the time of this review (10.14.2 Mojave). However, it is NOT simply plug and play as most people might expect. You need to go to the TrendNet support site for this product and download the driver for macOS. Once I installed this baby I was ready to go. If you do everything correctly, you will see that the adapter shows up as "AX88179 USB 3.0" in your network settings. I also tested this device on my Raspberry Pi 3 B and B+. it was plug and play. It looks like it will be the same for Windows, but I don't have a PC so I haven't tested it. I only have 200Mbps internet so I couldn't test the full capabilities of this device but it definitely worked better than my old Apple 10/100 adapter model which of course was around 100Mbps.
