I have an outdoor cat that refuses to go inside so I decided to buy her a heating pad. I don't know what I was expecting as I've never had one but I think it's more like an electric blanket? It wasn't. I'm not sure if mine is or should be defective, but it just doesn't seem that warm. I keep it on level 5 all day and when I touch it with my hand I have to press my hand to feel warm. I expected warm and toasted. However, she often preferred to lie down under the house in the morning rather than on it. There just isn't much heat.
