When I first ordered this product I thought it was a hard piece of plastic. When I received Hecostix I was surprised that it is a hard foam. The foam is firm but not stiff, so there's no risk of impact injury if you miss the latch. The outer surface is textured with Hecostix ribs for an easy grip. I purchased this product to use as a training aid for my 10 year old son who plays U-Trip baseball, but from the moment I took it out of the box all three of my children (the other two are 6 and 5 years old ) wanted to play the flower catching game Hecostix. Exercising with this product can be as easy as it can be difficult, depending on what you choose to do. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a fun and effective way to improve focus and hand-eye coordination, regardless of age or skill level.
