Review on ๐ง ARES 15017 Valve Spring Compressor - Enhance Valve Compression on Overhead Valve Engines with Direct Action Lever by Brett Kolpack
Not working, lever missing
Tried to use it on a Mini Cooper S W11 engine, failed. First, the grip is too short and there just isn't enough leverage to compress the valve spring. Second, even if you manage to compress the spring, you have to hold it while removing or installing the valve cotters, which is extremely difficult if you don't have an assistant. I've found that a simple 7" C-clamp with a socket from this or a similar tool works much better. Refunded for a refund.
