Works, some installations may not have the fitting in the correct position
The pump works well, different design and of course cheaper materials than the 25 year old, but it works. A snap ring for installing fittings will only help you if you have snap ring pliers, but as others have said they are easy enough to install using other methods. Neither connector combo had exactly the same position and angles as the old block, so there's now a small extra fuel line loop, but it's hard to beat for price and functionality.
