This one has a wooden base plate that literally came loose in the first 60 seconds of installation when I gently pushed it between the door frames. It is attached with small thin staples - see photo. The wooden part under the sill is almost 2.5 cm smaller than the aluminum part, which allows all kinds of insects to get in, as it is very difficult to seal. I was hesitant to buy this after reading some reviews but it seems like a decently made sill is no longer available - it's all foreign made junk. I wish I could buy it locally so I could return it, but this nearly $30 item is going in the trash. Or I'll have to use a piece of aluminum as a starting point to make something decent. Don't buy this junk!
