Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Efficient Granite Talon Tyre Levers: Expert Master Link Pliers & Quick-Link Chain Removal Tool by Robbie Guinn

Worth Carrying But Limited

I really like these pliers, but I'm not a big fan of their "simple" tire lever function. I've used them to successfully break and install my chain a number of times and unsuccessfully mount and dismount a tire a couple of times. The lever tips are too long for low volume street tires and I clamped the tube twice when mounting the tire. I have multiple sets of levers and I find this to be a common design flaw. They are probably better suited to mountain bikes with wider rims and more tire volume where the tube has more freedom of movement. I still wear them when I ride because they're great for dismounting (really stiff levers that snag on the tire bead a lot) when you're not worried about jamming your camera (and I can fit a spare carabiner in the grip) , but I've resorted to various levers for most tire-related mechanisms.
