Revain says it doesn't fit Excursion 6.0 from 2005 but I read the reviews and took a chance. It fits perfectly. And in addition to the extra amperage over the stock 110 amp alternator, it eliminated the AC voltage that was causing my charging and starting problems. I got the overdrive pulley as others recommended. I've never changed the alternator pulley, but the old one came off easily with a ratchet and gloves. The new one went just as easily. It takes a lot of muscle power to loosen the belt 6.0 to engage the detent on the underside of the tensioner. I won't pretend I didn't swear or throw things. But once the tensioner is locked, the replacement process becomes easy. My truck has 170,000 miles on it and this is its first new alternator. I think I got a good one. Bosch is a well-known brand. With dozens of alternators available, it's tempting to ramp up and up the amperage. Why not go up to 230 amps and sound like an ambulance? Closer examination and research shows that if you go beyond that, you will need to replace much of the stock wiring between the batteries, alternator and ground. Otherwise everything will melt. This generator is a good upgrade that does not require any further upgrades.
