I've only had them for a short time so I can't confirm how they will hold up. I prefer my professional watercolor brushes, but that's to be expected. I bought these for myself, my daughter and my granddaughter to use when camping. I pre-tested them to teach the little ones how best to use them. They work well for their intended purpose - travel friendly. Update: 6 months later I feel this way. I bought 2 other brands of water brushes when I bought this one. Having used 3 brands for 6 months I would give them the lowest rating. The color builds up in the tip/tip, forcing you to use all the water to clean so you have a clean brush for the next color. The water keeps flowing so you feel like you have little control over the amount of water you use and it was the highest price of the three brands at the time of purchase.
