If communication with support helps or turns out to be a defective model I will change my mind about the product. When delivered, the two devices were not paired, no problem at all. They are easy to assemble and he gives very simple instructions on how to do it. As a couple, everything is very easy to use. Each button does exactly what it says with a very easy to use interface. It actually has a long reach. This is where things start to deteriorate. I cooked a whole chicken and stuck a probe in its chest. Cooked on Kamadojo at a temperature of about 300 °. Well, after about 15 minutes(?) my device turned itself off and said the chicken was cooked. What if my grill didn't accidentally increase the temperature and I'm about to open a cremated chicken or that probe didn't turn off? I plugged in a thermometer that I've been using for 2-3 years now and checked the calibration every 3 months and it read 145°. Well, the chicken is still walking and cackling. And before anyone asks, I stuck my thermometer in the same hole and dipped the tip of the thermometer into the chicken the same distance. The only difference was the thermometer. I don't know how to recalibrate this thermometer, but I tested it for boiling (15 second hold at constant boiling) and actually tested it 3 times. First temperature: 200°F? That explains a lot. Second temperature: 203°F? How do I get to the third step: 201? What? All in all a great interface and super easy to use. However, I am 99% sure that I got a defective model. If communication with the support team goes well and either A) I get it replaced or B) they help me calibrate it or solve the problem, I give 100% 5 stars. Otherwise it doesn't work. You know. as a clinical thermometer. Update: Helpdesk was down. Had to go through Revain to make sure I got a full refund. I was originally going to pay a significant amount of my money to have it returned but Revain sorted things out and let me ship it back for free as it didn't work properly at all.
