OEM is usually the way to go.
OE quality is no longer the horror story it used to be. The filters of most manufacturers are as good as the premium brands of yesterday and today, sometimes even far superior. I believe OEM filters for my Santa Fe will help it move well at a reasonable price for a do-it-yourselfer. They're so easy to change that it's almost foolish to let the dealer charge you for them. Simply write the replacement date on the filter medium with a felt-tip pen so that the service department does not notice that the filter has been changed too early.
