First comments: Arrived yesterday. Easy construction. A tripod is suitable for this scope. There is no recommended tube position in the mount. There are no instructions for installing a balance weight. Instructions are "assembly" rather than "custom". Setting up the Finder is quite complicated. That has to be better than three radial knurled screws. The tripod flexes so much that tightening the dead center of the finderscope is pointless. Seems a ball and socket with a locking ring would be better. The original use was in daylight to locate an object about 50 meters away. Due to the scale great details and very clear. It was never possible to place the object in the center of the viewfinder crosshairs. But I could always hit the same spot in the viewfinder. The moon was originally used just before sunset in clear skies. Great sharp/clear vision. You could see craters on the surface with lots of detail and shadows in them. From there I saw several other bright objects. As it got "dark" (viewing the city sky), I could see various objects that were visible to the naked eye. What struck me the most was what the naked eye couldn't see. Started installing the phone/camera mount. But then the clouds came up. I will update the information in a few days after the next clear night.
