So I have a 2007 Suzuki DL 1000 aka the V-strom. Anyone who rides this bike knows that when you ride the interstate, the wind blows very hard. Yes the new windshield helps and I still had some dents after replacing the original unit. Then I read that most of the shock comes from the stock mirrors. This statement seemed plausible because they are like boxes flying in the wind. I wanted to try something sportier and these fit just right. I didn't really know how well they would work, so I went with the cheap knockoffs. And that's what I got. They're not bad, but I guess the quality leaves something to be desired compared to the OEM version. It wasn't for nothing though, as I learned that mirrors reduce shake. I may buy an OEM kit in the future just to have something more durable. However, they work if you want to try new mirrors.
