Review on Astro 7764 Digital ⚡ Wide Range Circuit Tester LCD 3-48V by Robert Pearson

I think it's a good tool but with two disadvantages. One of them can be solved, the other not. The problem that can be solved is the physical connection between the wire and the clamp. It just bends and twists. (See image.) There's even a hole so it can be soldered on. I went ahead and soldered mine in place and guessed that the reviewers who had problems with the cable got disconnected and no longer made a good connection. I tested several elements at different voltages and everything was fine with this probe. Another problem is that you have to look directly at it to read the LED display. If you're working in a hard-to-reach area and need to read the voltage, this could pose a problem. Although for my needs this should work just fine. Overall I think this is a good tool, but I would recommend soldering the wire to the terminal to ensure a good, secure connection.
