The tow hitch was deliberately designed by the manufacturer NOT to use other balls according to their specifications. The length of this ball and the weight it can support is not easy to find with other manufacturers. A smart move by the manufacturer, but PIA, if you don't know the manufacturer, makes this ball for your rig. Installing this ball was not easy. Make sure you know someone with a giant torque wrench and a large set of sockets if you plan to install this ball on your equalizer clutch mount yourself. I had to disassemble the clutch to install this ball.
