Review on Options Interchangeable Circular Knitting Needle by Kim Sanchez

Revainrating 2 out of 5

You are better off using a magic loop than buying a 16 inch cable.

Although many reviews complain that it's not 16", 16" circular needles don't work that way. Basically it's 9 inches plus the length of your spokes. that makes it 16 - if you measure another 16 inch circle it will be the same. It's good. I believe. To be honest, if you want to knit a hat or something smaller, just get cords over 16 inches so you can either make a magic bow or just stretch the hat a bit. Stitches are VERY difficult to put on and you're just better off without them. It might be a little hard to see from the photos I've provided, but you need to actively "stretch" the cable. Also, you have to hold the needles awkwardly when you cast on because the needles are very close together. If you don't put stitches on it, you will stretch your project. The knitting needles are just too long for the 16 inch cord to be comfortable, but if your needles are under 4 inches I think it's much better (my bamboo needles are 3.5 each and the cord is 9 inches long. It works great. ) Just using the magic loop method with longer circles is better than using these 16 inches.
