Review on Maples Rugs Distressed Tapestry Washable by Sara Houck

I love the Maples brand rugs, they are beautiful and attractive and I love that they are an American company. But this rug was disappointing. The design is great, it looked great in my laundry room and I love the rubber backing. The sad thing is I chose to wash it cold/gentle with complimentary clear detergent and when I took it out of the washing machine to air dry I saw that the pattern was completely washed out! Now it's kind of a cloudy brownish color. I've never had anything like this before, it was very strange! I switched to another Maples runner hoping it was an accident. First of all I really like the rug, but a big plus for me is that it can also be washed. I would not recommend this particular rug, choose another design.
