I hate back doors so I fitted a couple of these under the rear bumper and tied them to the appropriate trailer harness turn signal/brake light wires. This non-factory auxiliary lighting helps attract people's attention and looks very professional. There is a noticeable difference in brightness between the tail light level and the brake/turn signal level, which is what most people want. My car has more than adequate taillights so I didn't connect that part of the wires although I checked the lights at the electrical box before installing them. The headlights proved to be well covered, let's see how well they hold up. Update: 4 months in use and last weekend I completely submerged them for about 5 minutes when hauling the boat out of the water. When I first installed them I added some silicone where the wires come out of the back of the light. Apparently it worked as I had no problems after "drowning" them. 2nd update: February 2018 and they still work great after a few dives.
