Cable connector - external accessory

White wire goes to ground (any metal surface will do). This applies to both lights.****The white wire from the trailer also connects to any available ground. The black wire is for the parking lights.****The black wire from both lights goes to the brown wire from the trailer.- signals. Connect correctly, the brake lights also work. **** A green wire from the lights goes to the yellow wire from the trailer. (Right turn signal)**** Another green wire from the light goes to the green wire from the…

Impressive in size!

I bought these to mount on a bike rack as the bikes were partially blocking my rear lights. I am very impressed, they are very bright, probably brighter than the standard taillights on my car. For mounting they fit perfectly using a 1" square aluminum tube from my local hardware store (I didn't want to drill my bike rack and void my warranty so I made a clamp light bar). Attached are a few pics from the night I was testing everything (Tail and brake light views) and also a midday picture with…

Works great on my trailer

I drove my trailer into a low tree stump which destroyed one of the original taillights and its bracket so I took the opportunity to make this long considered upgrade . These lights worked great, nice and unobtrusive, very noticeable and appear to be well made and waterproof although time will tell. One oddity is the way they painted the wires. ) as one of the pictures clearly shows the connection diagram, but why did they use a white wire for grounding instead of green, I don't understand? I…

Perfect for my purpose

I hate back doors so I fitted a couple of these under the rear bumper and tied them to the appropriate trailer harness turn signal/brake light wires. This non-factory auxiliary lighting helps attract people's attention and looks very professional. There is a noticeable difference in brightness between the tail light level and the brake/turn signal level, which is what most people want. My car has more than adequate taillights so I didn't connect that part of the wires although I checked the…

Cons
  • I'll text back

With some LED lights it is difficult to tell the difference between brake and tail light functions. These are clear. As taillights, they're not very bright - about on par with standard incandescent taillights - but when you step on the brakes, they draw attention. I use them on a motorcycle trunk because the motorcycle partially obscures my van's normal taillights. Their slim profile and surface mount design are ideal for mounting to a bracket, most commonly made from aluminum brackets. It…

Happy with them so far.

Preliminary rating at the moment, but so far I'm satisfied. I am using them to build a light beam for a hitch mounted bike rack. There are 4 bikes, the headlights of the car can hardly be seen. I've been thinking about this for a long time. Once I do that I feel a lot better. I bought http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H9JFS2 to mount the light and some decently sized U-bolts on the arms. my bike rack. I load the bike rack, then attach this assembly to the ends of the arms and wire them up.
