Genuine Grilled Small Appliance Grill

We had George Foreman's big grill for a few years but he eventually gave up so I decided to buy my wife another one for Christmas. Our main criticism of the predecessor was that it was too heavy and bulky, so I deliberately went for a smaller one. The GRP360R was smaller and had a bunch of good reviews, so Santa put it under our Christmas tree for them. So far it's been good. Although retailers such as Revain sell a wide range of grills branded "George Foreman", different manufacturers actually make different models of these grills. As a result, there are several different models with roughly the same size, design, and features, but specific specifications may vary. The GRP360R is made by Black & Decker and that's one of the reasons I chose it. The grille comes in bright red, and there's a similar model in platinum for a higher price. Although I would have preferred a less garish color, I bought a red grid. In fact, the GRP360R grill has a red cover and a black bottom. Like most Foreman grills, it has two separate grill plates, a stationary bottom plate and a top plate that lowers onto the food much like a waffle iron works. The grill has an adjustable hinge that closes so the top plate fits snugly over the food being grilled. The GRP360R is described as a four-portion grill, but that's a bit of an exaggeration. The panels measure approximately 11 x 8 inches. However, there is a raised barrier right at the edges of each plate, so the actual area available for eating is 9.5 inches by 7 inches. Such a small grilling surface can't cook four regular sized meals, but it can and does cook two hamburgers, chicken breasts, small steaks or pieces of fish. This grill is therefore much better suited for cooking for two than for four. The design of the Foreman grill has greatly improved since we received our previous model. The GRP360R has removable top and bottom panels. They are easily removed by pressing the tabs on each side and are dishwasher safe (a big improvement over our previous model). The non-stick surface is easy to clean, although care should be taken when washing to avoid contact with cutlery or other items that could scratch the surface. The grill has no switch; You just plug it in and it stays on until turned off. However, it does have two LED indicators on the top: one shows the power is on, and the second shows the grill is hot enough to use. Like most Foreman grills, the GRP360R has a downward sloping bottom plate to allow the grease to drain from the pan (it comes with a separate plastic drip pan that fits underneath for grease to drip into. Both the top and the bottom platen has ridges so food cooked looks like it's been browned on an open grill. It cooks very quickly (5-10 minutes for steaks, depending on how well done the meat you like) and the removable plates are easy to clean , also for grilled on marinated scraps Uncooked meat turns out quite juicy and tasty without the need to dry it to remove the fat Plus, with an LED light that shows when the grill is fully heated, you can start to to switch to the dishwasher in under 30 minutes if you develop caution (and gloves) when removing the plates. And with a drip tray and detachable grill plates, cleanup is a breeze easy. Overall, the GRP360R is a su a definite improvement over the previous model we had. The only real downside is the rather small cooking surface, which may mean the need to prepare separate cuts of meat for those who like large steaks. However, detachable plates, simple and healthy cooking and simple operation more than make up for it. The GRP360R grill is a good alternative to grilling in the oven or frying in a pan.
