Practical and beautiful addition to the hard top

The hard top has always been difficult to put on and take off. I don't have a garage with annex or storage room so an elevator is not an option. The muscle work isn't too bad if you have some help, but it always gets in the way of the bulky (not necessarily heavy) top and, more importantly, the lack of grip. This is no longer a problem. These heavy, machined, and beautiful handles provide a secure place to grab and handle the top. While they are very practical I was afraid they would look a little silly but I'm happy to report that they actually look good. Maybe better than without her. Installation was easy thanks to the included templates printed on thick paper for each pin position. Cut them out, stick them in place with adhesive tape and as the saying goes: measure seven times - drill once. The kit includes all the necessary parts: handles, handle o-rings, screws, washers, thread-locking fluid, and small bumpers that attach with a hook under the bottom edge of the top and glue at each corner. on the flat part where it rests against the side of the hard top. They protect the bottom edge of the hard top by lifting it off the ground when you take it off, but they can stay on if you put it on a cart or something after you've taken it off. You'll need a 13mm socket, an 11/32" drill bit (a pin bit is recommended but I've had no trouble using a regular center punch, pilot hole and then drilling method for final size), something to edge around the edges to clean the hole. (a slightly larger drill usually works) and a torque wrench that can tighten bolts up to 20 foot-pounds. Access to the bolts was not very difficult even with a torque wrench attached, even with the front handle bolts between the side roll bars and the sides of the hard top. All in all I'd say it took me about two hours to install on a good day.
