I decided to try them. Why make a bracket in the form of a sponge to curl the edge of the hood, trunk or other body panel, and make the bracket out of thin metal? , the thing opens straight up and A isn't tight against the body panel and B supports the antenna off the body, it should be mostly flush. I'm sending this garbage back. I bet and lost on this junk. Don't buy if you need a powerful mount, but you really have limited choices. WATCH OUT. Midland should be ashamed, it's on par with those fun Chinese branded components from Revain.
