Packaging was very good, each bit was individually wrapped in plastic. All together in a shiny, lockable box. I needed to drill a 1" diameter hole in 1/4" steel. I started with a 1/4" drill bit from another set and gradually worked my way up to 1/2" 9/16 and I put the chisel in the drill press, started drilling, all my chuck falls out of the spindle, surprised I put the chuck mandrel back into the spindle, I start drilling, the chuck falls out again, but whole in the beginning stop the drilling step so that he managed to drill a hole. Go to 11/16 - same thing happens. I noticed when I ran the drill every drill didn't look right, I saw a hesitation. I myself, maybe have I didn't fully tighten it. So I make sure the chuck is tight in the spindle, I set it to 13/16", tighten it really well and voila - same result. At this point I get frustrated every time the chuck falls out , i need to move table, insert chuck, bring back table with the part i'm working on, center i go to a neighbor to borrow metal drill bits, since it's a hole saw i didn't have to approach so i went straight to the 1" bit. 10 seconds I have a 1" hole, the chuck won't fall out, everything works. Thanks neighbor! These drill bits might be fine, but the only reason I suspect the chuck is falling out is because the drill bits don't t are machined right down the middle and the vibration will cause the chuck to fall out. After seeing so many good reviews on here I suspect I may have come across a bad batch.I am very disappointed in these drills.
