Lots of features in an affordable USB-C hub (no NVMe-based M.2 support)

USB-C hubs and docking stations can be confusing, if you're not aware of the differences they can all, by the way, are $20 for USB-A hubs and up to several hundred for Thunderbolt 3/4 docking stations. This product falls somewhere in the middle, it's a USB-C hub (not Lightning) and designed for use with a laptop, but it can work with any USB-C device that supports video output and charging through a USB-C port supported gives you multiple USB-A ports in exchange for a USB-C port, plus video output over HDMI, Ethernet, and a micro SD and SD card reader. It supports 100W pass-through charging for the host device. to which it is connected. However, some of that can be used by the USB-A ports if you've got something like a smartphone connected (it can charge connected devices at 10W). Video output is limited to 4K at 30Hz. The other part of it is that it has space for M.2 drives, but only on a SATA basis. I tried to install an NVMe drive and it showed up but no computer could see it. SATA-based M.2 drives are slower than NVMe and less common. It can still come in handy if you have one of those drives, this hub turns it into an external drive. For only $40 I think it's a good center, it could be better but it's not bad. Ideally, I would like a USB-C data port, HDMI 2.0 (4K/60) and support for NVMe M.2 drives. It would be an amazing center for the price if it had these things.
