Review on KYB 343412 Excel G Gas Shock by Jason Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect rear shock replacement for my 2008 Mazda 3 hatchback.

These shock absorbers are fairly easy to fit on my 2008 Mazda 3 hatchback for the rear (you will need struts for the front) and this was the first time I have done this. The movement is noticeably better. Most people who have a jack, a set of metric sockets, a ratchet wrench, and a torque wrench can probably install them themselves without calling a professional. Keep in mind that due to the length of the two bolts securing the bracket, you will need a deep socket to remove the two nuts securing the bracket that connects the top of the shock. There are many videos online that can help, but it will most likely take longer than it looks on the video.

Pros
  • #1 recommended for Asian OE replacements
Cons
  • Fits
