Bought KYB a long time ago. They are the best OEM replacement. There are better shock absorbers, but not if you just want the car to be like it was when new. They compensate for worn springs and, frankly, provide better handling than the original springs. They are softer than new; handles off-road and Michigan potholes well (much rougher than off-road). Of course I drive a Bilstein or a Koni for rally or street tuning, but for a direct OEM replacement; KIB to the end.
