There are things you always have to buy in pairs: ferry tickets and baskets! I bought one last year, it was great and I love it! These bags hold a lot of stuff and are pretty sturdy (especially with the plastic lining). Received 1 bag of 21lb crap from work (including my laptop, change of clothes, bike stuff, etc.). ; However, then you're stuck with 21 pounds of stuff on one side of your bike. <sad trombone> Fast forward to this purchase, the second bag! So now I have a pair. And I couldn't be happier! Load balancing has had a huge impact on my ride. These bags are great because they are very durable and also waterproof. Additionally, waterproofing comes as a separate liner that you can remove (and lighten the load) when you don't need it. I can only recommend these bags! And hey, consider getting two while you're at it. ;-)
