Review on Plews 30 416 Professional Pistol Grease by Jose Ballard

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Coupling is virtually non-removable

To remove the coupler from the transom you literally have to unscrew the coupler to the last few turns and use your full weight to pull the coupler and hose with both hands. Then your arms fly back uncontrollably and crash into something much harder than they are. I cut off a zerk trying to disengage the clutch while fully tightened before figuring it out. Leaving the coupler screwed on enough to move it quickly from mirror to mirror will cause grease to ooze out of the threads between the coupler and the hose. The grip on the coupler does not have enough strength to effectively loosen and re-thread the coupler. The pump seems to work well, but the clutch is not suitable for daily lubrication. This would be a great coupler on a high pressure lever pump to lubricate stuck mirrors. ********** EDIT 7/28/14 ********** After a helpful comment I can now remove the clutch one at a time from the Zerk and have no more complaints. The trick is to cock the clutch to one side and then rotate while keeping it cocked.
