I was a bit worried that I would have trouble based on the 3 star and below reviews. I wasn't installing onto drywall but on newel posts preventing new puppy from going downstairs. Not sure why some had issues with the cups not being secure with different widths. The width of my posts differed from top and bottom. The cups adjust to the needed width. I bought the wall nannys just in case and just used the large extension to make it fit 39 & 40.75 inches in width. The wall nanny definitely added the rigidity needed when tightening. Even without the gate installed, just putting the wall nanny on the post by hand there was no movement. Very confident it's not going to move at all. The new pup was not happy and was determined to stick his head left of the gate between the balusters to get down but his body was too wide. Lol. I'm very tempted to buy a second one but I will see how this works out for a few months.Now that I’ve had this a month it’s been amazing! No question buying a second when the time comes.
