This is a solid reverse osmosis unit that performs very well for the price. The fact that it is portable made this unit an obvious choice for me as I didn't want to mess with the plumbing and install the unit under the sink. The water comes out great and my fish and shrimp are now in a more natural environment that cannot be recreated by simply adding peat moss. If you have large tanks, you may need more power than this reverse osmosis system provides. I only have tanks up to 20 gallons myself, so I don't use more than 10 gallons of reverse osmosis water per week. If you are an aquarist on a budget, install a friendly reverse osmosis unit to provide better water for your fish. I strongly encourage you to consider this unit. PLEASE NOTE: You must purchase a faucet adapter garden hose to use this flushing reverse osmosis unit. You can buy them at Revain, or like me, you can pick them up at Home Depot or Lowes for about $5.
