Very interesting tool. My husband showed me all the amazing details of this work of art. It's fairly durable, made of stainless steel and has no plastic parts. Glides smoothly and provides detailed measurements on the LCD screen. We have measured several items and it is very accurate. So amazing that the mouthpiece opens to the width of the object being measured. And at the same time, a small ruler appears at the bottom, which has exactly the same measure! The mouthpiece measures solids, but the ruler can measure liquids! It has an on/off switch on the LCD that also resets the measurement to zero. There are four different measurement modes: (1) external (2) internal (3) depth measurement (4) step measurement. The instrument is very well made and comes in a sturdy case. There are two small LR44 button cells, one for installation and one for backup. There is a very small screwdriver used to open and close the battery compartment. It also includes a very detailed guide. The case allows you to take the caliber tool with you wherever you need it.
