While I would theoretically avoid anything that uses imperial units instead of metric units, the truth is that they are for general use in the Business-minded, I just can't do without this silly old English system. So what can I do other than learn how to add fractions and spend a lot of extra time trying not to make mistakes? In any case, remember that unlike most measuring tapes, there is no mm at the bottom. I'm not demoting this product because other than forcing me to go along with them, I really like how this thing works, especially if you're really only comfortable with imperial measurements: First, inches are listed on the leg markings (along with the leg prints) to help you avoid making mistakes (I imagine you just forget your inches when thinking about feet or vice versa). And the fractions don't overflow above, but below they're all listed in eighths of an inch. Lines are shown for sixteenths, and thirty seconds isn't even on the first inch, how many. In this respect, both bands are the same. This is the type of ribbon that is almost matte to the touch and has a smooth texture. However, the type that can cut you is much less likely than the type with a very metallic feel if you can follow my descriptions. They have detent stops, of course, and it's also clearly marked as to how wide the actual meter body is. However, my old ones both flexed and it was becoming increasingly difficult to "catch" the end to ride them separately. manually, so now I know: the best time for an updated replacement!
