Review on SHIMANO Altus Direct Mount 🚲 Rear Derailleur for Mountain Bikes - RDM310 by Victor Halla

I replaced a cheaper competition derailleur with this Altus and was impressed with the durability of this derailleur. However, I almost destroyed it on my first outing. I have an e-bike with a very powerful motor. I had no problems for the first 700 km. Then, within a month, I twisted and destroyed two tournament switches. It was the third switch and I learned the lesson that you have to ride branches and sticks without peddling. Even this higher quality switch can be damaged. The good news for Altus is that the damage wasn't fatal. I was able to fix things and restore them to almost new condition.
