    Perfect product for any user!

I bought my wife on Shulz ezy, 20th wheels. The switch is not large, the foot is "medium", it fits well for twenty. Turney shifters worked fine. They put it at the end of the summer, I didn’t have to adjust it for a month or so, it keeps fine. Of the budget switches - one of the best.

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

The native one was exactly the same, it broke due to crooked driving on stumps and logs, it withstood a very strong blow, but bent and the roller already led the chain incorrectly, it did not work out I don't think if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have to change. Very reliable and comfortable, switches smoothly and does not make noise Setting up is very elementary, you can even find a video specifically with it, in general, you will figure it out No complaints, excellent quality

Works GREAT with Shimano Mega Range

Installed my Shimano Altus RDM310 and it works GREAT with the Shimano Mega Range ratchet. A definite improvement over the stock Shimano Tourney that came with the bike.

Smooth shifting while riding a bike

So far it has been a great replacement for my bike. What I like best is that all the moving parts are metal, because some parts on my old (OEM) switch were plastic. At the moment it feels well made and shifts smoothly and quietly between gears.

Find a good installation tutorial video.

Looks very professional and works as expected works as expected as this is my first time repairing this item on my bike it was quite difficult to find a video to help me. After watching the video, the installation was pretty easy. It was more difficult for me to set the right shifting correctly. I installed and set it up for patients myself.

    Fantastic replacement OEM

Speaking of entry level switches. I used this to replace my Shimano Tourney derailleur that bent while riding the MB. underpants. To be honest, if I had known that, I would have immediately replaced the Stock Tourney with an Altus. Shifting is much smoother, faster and more precise (after proper tuning). Oh and I also removed 2 chain links to tighten my chain. I suggest if you want to do this, watch some YouTube videos.

Beware the manual sucks but you can always check in the park.

Give this switch 5 stars for its value. It cost a third of what I just spent repairing my Sram XO derailleur. No carbon fiber, no jewelry, but the old derailleur that my son's bike came with had just enough play that it couldn't be adjusted for precise shifting. Installation and connection took less than 5 minutes. Keep in mind the instructions suck, but you can always check out the Park Tools or Shimano websites or YouTube for setup tutorial videos if you don't already know how. Very…

Good Design - Parts & Components

I replaced a cheaper competition derailleur with this Altus and was impressed with the durability of this derailleur. However, I almost destroyed it on my first outing. I have an e-bike with a very powerful motor. I had no problems for the first 700 km. Then, within a month, I twisted and destroyed two tournament switches. It was the third switch and I learned the lesson that you have to ride branches and sticks without peddling. Even this higher quality switch can be damaged. The good news for

    Poor quality, terrible customer service

Note: Shimano customer service is terrible when it comes to warranty claims. This derailleur is partially plastic and failed on my first ride. I installed this derailleur on my son's mountain bike and on the first ride after installing the plastic shaft broke in two. We called Shimano and they asked us to take the part to the nearest bike shop. After an hour's drive to an authorized service center, the bike shop refused to help us with a warranty replacement because the part was purchased from…

Quality product, best parts and components

Knowing Shimano's reputation first hand, this Shimano Altus should be dependable in form and function. It benefits from the company's 'Trickle Down' technology, where technical advances in the top-of-the-line Dura-Ace and XTR lines are eventually carried over to lower-end models. Unfortunately I had to return this part due to the weight. Sure, it would provide smooth operation and would generally be a good replacement for a worn switch. Also, barring any psychological damage, extra grams of…

    Sleek and precise

This rear derailleur is great value for the money. Sturdy metal construction and large pulleys. This even works with my MicroShift, which I wasn't sure about because Shimano can be sensitive when mixing brands. It shifts smoothly and quietly with precise movements. I am very satisfied and it was a great update. I've read reviews that said that until you get up and get past the Deore line, this Altus derailleur is the best, despite Shimano's superior Acera line. Keep in mind my chain was too…

    DISASTER FAILURE DO NOT BUY!

short version - catastrophic failure after about 40 km with damage to me and my bike! DO NOT BUY! Long Version - I bought this to replace the Altus A20 on my bike. After 30-40 miles this thing failed catastrophically damaging itself and my bike. I'm not sure what happened, but this thing jammed sooooo hard it bent backwards, fell on my head and bit into the spokes of my impeller. and the chain is somehow hanging on the outside of the derailleur frame. I wish I could take a picture of this jam…
