Review on SHIMANO Altus Direct Mount 🚲 Rear Derailleur for Mountain Bikes - RDM310 by German Diaz

Note: Shimano customer service is terrible when it comes to warranty claims. This derailleur is partially plastic and failed on my first ride. I installed this derailleur on my son's mountain bike and on the first ride after installing the plastic shaft broke in two. We called Shimano and they asked us to take the part to the nearest bike shop. After an hour's drive to an authorized service center, the bike shop refused to help us with a warranty replacement because the part was purchased from Revain. Take an hour drive home empty-handed. Called Shimano again who this time gave us instructions on how to return the derailleur at our expense for analysis and possible replacement. As for the hassle and expense Shimano has taken us so far to get a working part, I think I'd rather find a company that actually honors their warranty.
