Review on Geomatica by Joseph Harkins

The best thing about this tool it's ease of use when you're new to GIS. I've been able to get my feet wet with this program quickly through tutorials and hands-on training sessions. The learning curve can be quite steep if you are not familiar with mapping programs in general or ArcGis specifically. You need some experience using other mapping softwares such as Qgis before jumping into Geomatica. It does come at an expensive price but worth every penny! We have used this product during our internship as we were tasked with creating maps from aerial photographs taken by drone. This has allowed us to create accurate land plots and identify properties within those areas.
