Purchased in December 2013 for my brand new 2013 Rubicon. Installed in my store, so I can't say anything about the installation. However, after 1.5 years of freeway driving and 8 winter drives in Moab and throughout Utah, Arizona and New Mexico I can say that it hasn't noticeably improved mileage (I tested it before and after installation) or power or acceleration. . It sounds really different. I would like to point out that reinstalling an oil filter and pre-filter in a small plastic case is difficult, it takes some bending, practice and a firm grip. The reason for only 2 stars is that after only 4 months of driving in the SW, the assembly of the plastic housing that houses the filter warped so much the first time I cleaned the filter that I couldn't screw the aluminum cover back onto it Housing. That's what happened. After removing the aluminum cap on the plastic body, I cleaned and replaced the pre-filter and filter, but when I tried to screw the cap back onto the body, the 4 screw holes in the aluminum cap did not line up with the 4 built-in threads in a plastic case. I've tried every possible direction including how it came about. The lid did not deform, rather the plastic body lost its rigidity during use and deformed once the knurled lid was removed for initial cleaning. The lid retained the original "stud" pattern of the plastic case, and after removing the lid after use, the plastic case became loose. I had to drill all 4 holes in the aluminum cover (nearly doubling its diameter) before I could align the fasteners with the threads in the case. This should NEVER happen. Maybe I just got a LEMON, BUT I DON'T THINK THAT. I would not recommend buying this Airaid system. I'm not saying the filter membrane is ineffective at removing dust and supplying combustion air, rather my unit has failed to maintain its integrity after only 4 attachments. This was after 4 bindings. I've now been riding in WA for over 1.5 years, another winter in SW. On the 2nd and 3rd time removing the aluminum cover of the assembly, the deformation increases a little, but not as much as the first time. I can barely line up the fasteners with the enlarged holes.
