Review on Janlynn Stitch Count Counted 3 Inch by Lori Aguirre

Revainrating 2 out of 5

You get what you pay for: little floss, weird pattern design

I'm a somewhat experienced seamstress who thought cross stitch would be a good new skill to learn. After completing a larger project involving text and flowers, I moved on to this smaller project that had been sitting in my drawer for a while. Although the kit says it's for kids, this kit has quarter stitches that are poorly explained in the instructions. Also, they seem to be randomly placed, sometimes they end up inside the backstitch line that outlines the detail, but sometimes they go beyond the line or don't cross the line at all to any appreciable extent (as you can see in the photo). .Also, there wasn't enough thread to complete this project. I made a few mistakes and diligently pulled out all my loops to reuse the threads and it still wasn't enough. Pros: led me to a new stitch. Cons: Most other things.

Pros
  • Made in the USA
Cons
  • I don't remember

Bought as a project for a child. Waiting to see it finished.

It was pretty small. But oh well. I was looking for a gift for my niece. She liked it.
