Let me start by saying that when I bought it I knew I had to customize it to my needs. I cut the handle to shorten the length to make sure it fits. When I started mounting it with two screws, one of them was too long and hit the metal tube on the inside of the door. So I had to shorten the screw to fit. So now that it's installed it seems to be working fine. Time will tell and I will update the review if necessary. The description in this list covers several years for the Can Am x3; I have a 2018 RS Turbo R x3. The door lock mechanism on my car is definitely different from what is shown in your photo.
